What a desert that DA has become.
When I first started here four years ago it was just the same, but it got better and better....until about 2011. I have waited and I have hoped that the site would regain it's activity and also it's worth for myself. But besides a few changes like points and other financial structures nothing really did CHANGE.

So many people have left nowadays, also many good friends and amazing artists - and that with good reason.

Unpopular art remains unseen though groups and else should actually contribute to helping artists get more attention for their artworks.
It is hard to get constructive criticism on your work since there are hardly any people left who actually CARE.
Who CARE to leave a few little words..so that even the most unknown artist knows that his art is of value.

Furthermore there are dozens of people who want something for free, however do not want to do anything in order to get it. It doesn't matter whether it's free art, contests or else. They just don't want to put effort into getting something and that makes them really brazen to artists who actually put some into their works.

Sometimes I ask myself...Aren't we all here artists? Don't we know how much effort and work and time it takes to create a good artwork?
So why would we expect that someone else would give it for free?
It is important that artists respect eachother..no matter how good we are...we are still all artists.

For now this is an inactive account. Maybe it will be a deleted one in the future...

Hello fellas!

Dear fellow deviants,
Several people have posted their interest
about joining the contest, but noone really
liked the topic so here is what I changed
it to now:

What you have to do:

Choose one of Tarja's songs and imagine yourself into a dreamworld!
Show us what you see by drawing it down.
If you are using any human characters please make sure you include a young redhead, with greenish/brown eyes, who you can see here below. You don't have to use her, but it would get you bonus points.

Here some more facts:

You can make a maximum of 2 entries.

You can change your entries if you think you have done a better one than the two you already entered.

When you have finished your entry send me a note saying "Entry" or "Entry2".

Make sure you mention the contest in the description of the entry
If you want to join please comment below!
The contest will start as soon as there are at least 10-15 people.

Deadline is 30th August 2013

Hello fellas!

What the contest is about:

For human artists:
It's about drawing my character Chyriel.

Who is a young redhead, with greenish/brown eyes.
The only important thing about this character is her necklace, which you can either draw in first or second version, which one doesn't matter.

For animal artists:
Refsheet (which is quite old but still up to date)
